ummm white boys in tight pants writing crazy songs
48 hours and then some, trying to kill off this weekend good
except now i'm down here
and i'm putting together this plan to lose myself tomorrow in a part of town that's far away from here
grab a twenty from this girl on a break from her shift to smoke it out in the rain
sitting on another curbside somewhere
just want to be alone and to find stillness
talk to strangers maybe

it's been really long
and it's suddenly five or six hours later
and i'm in my room with the lights off and the window open
just to hear the sound of the rain coming down
and breathing has never felt so good
it's quiet and there are still planes roaring down the sky
so restless, so still
it smells fresh outside
lying on my bed with shampooed hair in my face

it doesn't help to talk to my old friends

just gotta make it through to monday morning
